The original Medieval Latin Word-List from British and Irish Sources first published in 1934 was superseded by the Revised Word-List in 1965 (which was reissued with a supplement in 1980). Like the Dictionary it has been published for the British Academy by Oxford University Press.

The Revised Word-List is a one-volume list of British and Irish Medieval Latin words and meanings not found in Classical Latin. Essentially an interim report on the quotation slips that had been gathered before work began on the Dictionary itself, it is neither comprehensive nor authoritative. Although it is still '>available, it is therefore essentially superseded by the DMLBS (and in part by the DMLCS).
